Fuzzy Jones is an award winning singer-songwriter and ‘queen of Junk Shop Folk’ based in Leeds, UK. She conjures up vivid urban tales of the everyday. Her lyrics draw you in around melamine tables, of kitsch faded orange cafes.
Fuzzy likes to describe her music as a tea party with Joni Mitchell and David Bowie, where Burt Bacharach occasionally pops by for a coffee.
Fuzzy’s music has been played on Stuart Maconie’s ‘Freak Zone’, Gideon Coe -BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Leeds, York, Manchester & Lincolnshire, Radio DIVA, Folk Radio UK, East Leeds FM and many more.
Fuzzy will be joined at Diva Music Festival by her band the Sisters, who form her other project the Sisterhood Music Collective. Expect lush four part harmonies, bad ass bass, banter and good vibes! #UpriseWithUs Some lovely things that peeps have said about Fuzzy’s music…
“Her music is cool, effortless and catchy.” Heather Peace (DIVA Magazine) “This Ole Hammock is a sun-soaked slice of folk-pop, so laid back it can calm the busiest of hearts.” Vents Magazine "That was Fuzzy Jones, new and rather good!"Gideon Coe (BBC 6 Music) “Blue Jean” is catchy as hell, and the b-side “Perfume” is pretty fine too. One to watch.”(The Arts Desk)
